PENGARUH PROFITABILITAS, PERTUMBUHAN ASSET DAN UKURAN PERUSAHAAN TERHADAP STRUKTUR MODAL

The purpose of this research is to find out the influence of profitability, asset growth, and firm
size to the capital structure on the company which has capital structure in using debt financing that is
the food and Beverages Company. The population is food and beverages companies which are listed in
Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The purposive sampling has been used as the sample collection
technique, and based on the determined criteria the samples are 12 food and beverages companies
which consecutively never late in publishing the financial statement during the years of 2010-2013.
The multiple linear regressions analysis with SPSS version 2.0 applications is used in this research.
The result of this research shows that: (1) simultaneously return on assets (ROA), growth of assets
(GA), and firm Size (S) variables have significant influence to the debt equity ratio (DER); (2)
Partially return on assets (ROA) variable has significant influence to the debt Equity ratio (DER).
And the positive coefficient shows the unidirectionalcorrelationbetween ROA and DER; (3) partially
the growth of assets variable has in significant influence to the debt equity ratio (DER). And the
negative coefficient shows the unidirectionalcorrelationbetween GA and DER; (4) partially firm size
(S) variable has significant influence to the debt equity ratio (DER). And the positive coefficient shows
the unidirectional correlation between S and DER.
