PERAN AUDIT OPERASIONAL DALAM MENDORONG EFEKTIFITAS DAN EFISIENSI KINERJA KARYAWAN PADA PT. PELABUHAN INDONESIA III CABANG TANJUNG PERAK

The purpose of this research is to find out how the operational auditing role in order to encourage the efficiency and effectiveness of the employees’ performance at PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Pelindo) III Tanjung Perak Surabaya branch.The Operational Auditing is the auditing on the operation which is implemented from the management point of view in order to assess the economic, efficiency, and effectiveness from each and the whole operation, is limited on the management intention (Amin, 2004:1). The operational auditing of human resources is an auditing which is meant to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of human resources. Based on the result of this research which has been conducted it can be found that the function of planning, recruitment, selection, orientation, training and development, the performance assessment, the termination of employment, safety and environmental health have been conducted in appropriate with the company standard procedures. Workforce planning was effectiveness because it was done by an employee needs planning procedures (formation) which has been set by the company. Recruitment, applying, and the selection has been done effectiveness because recruitment has been conducted in accordance with the Decision of the Board of Directors of Recruitment. Orientation has been done effectiveness where the orientation is for applicants to better recognize Passed Selection field work assignments will adopting. Training and development of employees was effectiveness and efficiency for improving quality, skills and capabilities of staff expertise in accordance with the vision and mission demands. It can be concluded that the performance of employees at PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Pelindo) III Tanjung Perak branch has been running effectiveness and efficiency.
