PENGARUH GAYA KEPEMIMPINAN DAN KOMUNIKASI INTERPERSONAL TERHADAP SEMANGAT KERJA KARYAWAN UPT BALAI YASA SURABAYA GUBENG
The purposes of this research are (1) to analyze and to find out the interpersonal communication and leadership
style has simultaneous influence to the UPT Balai Yasa Surabaya Gubeng employees’ working spirit; (2) to
analyze and to find out the interpersonal communication and leadership style has partial influence to the UPT
Balai Yasa Surabaya Gubeng employees’ working spirit; (3) to analyze and to find out the interpersonal
communication and leadership style has dominant influence to the UPT Balai Yasa Surabaya Gubeng
employees’ working spirit. The type of this research is quantitative with causal comparative method. The
populations are 255 employees of UPT Balai Yasa Surabaya Gubeng which are selected by using stratified
random sampling and 156 people have been chosen as samples. The result of simultaneous is the interpersonal
communication and leadership style has significant influence to the UPT Balai Yasa Surabaya Gubeng
employees’ working spirit. While the result of partial is the interpersonal communication and leadership style
partially has significant influence to the UPT Balai Yasa Surabaya Gubeng employees’ working spirit. Variable
which has dominant influence to the UPT Balai Yasa Surabaya Gubeng employees’ working spirit is leadership
style.
