PENGARUH PENGUMUMAN KENAIKAN BBM TERHADAP INVESTASI SAHAM LQ45 DI BEI

ABSTRACT

This study aims to determine the effect of increasing of fuel price announcement on stock prices of investment on
LQ45. The tests using different test stock price at the time prior to the date of announcement of increasing of fuel
price by the day-to-day after rising fuel prices. The results showed that abnormal returns after the
announcement of fuel price increases in contrast to prior announcement of increasing of fuel price. Investor
reaction shown by the announcement of increasing of fuel price are quite varied, for investors who have more
information than the announcement of increasing of fuel price is likely to make a deal, but for investors who are
just a little bit more information than the announcement of increasing of fuel price would tend to hold their
investment for avoid the risk of uncertainty. A decrease in abnormal returns after the announcement of
increasing of fuel price during the period of observation 1 day and 3 days showed that the increase in fuel prices
is seen investors give a negative signal, so they are less interested to trade their shares on the market, which
resulted in the power of sale and power of buy of investors decline.
