PENERAPAN CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY TERHADAP MASYARAKAT DI LINGKUNGAN SEKITAR PERUSAHAAN (STUDI KASUS PADA PT.BROMO STEEL)

ABSTRACT
The purpose of this research is to find out the implementation of corporate social responsibility to the
community surrounding the company. Currently, a company is required to have high profit and sensitive to the
environment and social issues surrounding the company. The social problem is getting more and more complex
and the existence of corporate social responsibility is expected to be able to assist empower the communities.
Qualitative method is used by performing case study approach as the analysis method. The data collection
technique is performed by using primary data that is distributing questioners, observation, interview, and
documentation to disclose the existing phenomena. This research is also supported by company’s documents as
the triangulation of the obtained data. The result of the research shows that the CSR implementation of PT
Bromo Panuluh Steel to the community surrounding the company has right on target or in accordance with the
needs of surrounding community. The form of CSR activity which has been implemented by PT Bromo Panuluh
Steel is in the form of the building of public infrastructures and facilities, education, religion, community
empowerment and health. The surrounding community’s respond and attitude to the existence of CSR is very
good. It starts from the planning of CSR program, the implementation of company’s activities to the end of CSR
activity. The community and the company are supporting each other in order to make the activity success. The
presence of CSR activity by PT Bromo Panuluh Steel shows that the profit which has been obtained by the
company is increasing.

ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan corporate social responsibility terhadap
masyarakat di lingkungan sekitar perusahaan. Perusahaan corporate sosial responsibility perusahaan
dapat membantu memberdayakan masyarakat. Metode analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini
adalah metode kualitatif yang menggunakan pendekatan study kasus (case study). Teknik
pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan data primer yaitu penyebaran kuisioner,
observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi saat ini dituntut harus mempunyai profit yang tinggi namun
juga peka terhadap isu-isu sosial dan lingkungan yang berada di sekitar perusahaan. Dengan
permasalahan sosial yang semakin kompleks diharapkan dengan adanya untuk menggungkap
fenomena yang ada. Sebagai penguat penelitian ini juga menggunakan dokumen-dokumen
perusahaan sebagai triangulasi sebagai pengecekan data yang sudah didapat. Hasil penelitian ini
menunjukan bahwa penerapan CSR PT Bromo Panuluh Steel dengan masyarakat sekitar perusahaan
sudah tepat sasaran atau sesuai dengan kebutuhan masyarakat sekitar. Bentuk kegiatan CSR yang
diterapkan oleh PT Bromo Panuluh Steel berupa bidang pembangunan sarana dan prasarana umum,
pendidikan, agama, pemberdayaan masyarakat dan kesehatan. Sikap dan respon masyarakat sekitar
perusahaan terhadap adanya CSR sangat baik. Dimulai dari perencanaan program CSR, pelaksanaan
kegiatan perusahaan hingga kegiatan CSR tersebut selesai. Perusahaan dan masyarakat sekitar saling
mendukung untuk mensukseskan kegiatan tersebut. Dengan adanya kegiatan CSR oleh PT Bromo
Panuluh Steel menunjukkan bahwa laba yang diperoleh perusahaan mengalami kenaikan.
